Arnold Harrison

Arnold Harrison

Partner of Steele Rose Law LLP

 

Arnold Harrison was instrumental in setting up Steele Rose & Co in the late 1990’s and has remained with the Organisation in one capacity or another for nearly 20 years. He is a partner in Steele Rose Law LLP and a Director of Steele Rose Trust Corporation as well as being a director of other Companies within the Group.

He has responsibility for corporate governance and client relations across most of the Group.

Arnold is married with three grown up children.

 
Darren Steele

Darren studied at Braintree College after which he began his working life in administration and IT. Darren joined Steele Rose in 2000 and after completing courses/examinations with the Institute of Professional Will Writers and the Society of Will Writers became primary Will Writer.

Darren completed the STEP Advanced Certificate in Will Preparation in 2011 and now acts as Managing Director of Steele Rose & Co Ltd and Director of other Companies within the Group. He also visits clients who are based in Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk.

Darren has lived in Canada and Bahrain with his late father Mark Steele, who was founder and creator of the Steele Rose brand.

Darren is married with three young children.

Dean Steele is a Senior Partner of Steele Rose Law LLP and the Managing Director of Steele Rose Trust Corporation.

From beginning his employment at Steele Rose & Co in 2006, then qualifying in 2011 and becoming a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners shortly after; Dean founded Steele Rose Law LLP in 2013 and is continuing to read Advanced Trust Disputes. He visits and provides legal advice to clients in the London area as well as managing Court hearings nationally.

Amanda joined Steele Rose in 2013 from a sales background, after relocating back to Wiltshire.

She is our Probate Accounts Manager, dealing with all aspects of estate administration.

Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and horses.

Bev joined Steele Rose in 2017. She worked in several secretarial and administrative positions before joining us.

She is currently the receptionist and mainly deals with office administration.

Bev is a dog lover, who loves nothing more than taking her dog Pebbles for long walks in the countryside.

 
Daniel Steele

Daniel, the youngest of the three Steele brothers, started at the family firm in 2013 after he studied IT at Andover College. He began in an administrative position before moving onto systems and marketing, since the start of 2016 he has been writing Wills for Steele Rose Law LLP and providing legal advice on Trusts, Tax and areas of Estate Administration.

While working at Steele Rose, Daniel has learned several coding languages and has passed his STEP Certificate in Trusts and Estate Administration, he has started his diploma. He attended the 2016 Society of Will Writers conference. Daniel was made a partner in April 2017.

Maisie started at Steele Rose in 2016, after she studied English Language at Brockenhurst. She is currently the receptionist and mainly deals with office administration for the Probate Team.

Steele Rose are currently training her in Trusts and Estate Administration.

 
Nicci Brown

Nicci studied Business Administration at Braintree College, she then joined a local firm of insurance brokers. Nicci worked in several secretarial and administrative positions before leaving work to raise a family.

While working at Stansted Airport, Nicci had the opportunity to travel, during which time she helped deliver Operation Christmas Child to Kosovo.

Nicci joined Steele Rose in 2015 and now acts as Secretary and PA to Darren Steele.

 
Stacie Griffin

Stacie is a qualified Legal Secretary and will shortly begin her studies to become a Legal Executive. After joining Steele Rose in 2015 Stacie has developed her understanding of the probate process, working closely with the Managing Partner she is able to advise clients on the more advanced parts of estate administration.

She enjoys spending time outside with her family.

Andrew Evans is a Senior Legal Consultant with SRC specialising in Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. He has been working with SRC for 12 years and was part of the 2003 training course.

His core operating area is most of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire – working from his office near Wallingford. Depending on client requirements he will also provide legal services further afield, particularly in Surrey and west and central London.

Prior to joining Steele Rose Andrew held senior management positions in the telecommunications industry.

Bob Husher trained with SRC in 2006 and is now a senior legal consultant, specialising in Wills and Powers of Attorney.

He was formerly an officer in the Royal Air Force and subsequently spent many years in the airline industry.

 
David Lilley

David has been a Consultant for Steele Rose for over ten years, specialising in Wills and Powers of Attorney. His clients are mainly in the Berkshire area.

He is legally trained and works face to face with clients to make sure that they can correctly establish all the relevant facts and best reflect client wishes. He is well versed in the use of trusts to minimise inheritance tax and protect vulnerable clients from care fees.

David Martin joined Steele Rose in 2002 after service in the Royal Air Force, and in Financial Services.

I live in Gloucestershire but looks after clients over a wide area and I specialise in Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts and Inheritance Tax Planning

 
John Keeling

John hails originally from Woolwich in South east London and following a career in HM Diplomatic Service and the Department for Trade and Industry he joined Steele Rose as a consultant in April 1999.

John is now based in Ashford and is available to visit clients in Kent, East Sussex and further afield. He has a long experience of taking instructions for wills, severance of tenancy, powers of attorney, advance decisions and other services. In relation to Lasting Powers of Attorney, John has the relevant professional skills to act as a certificate provider on behalf of clients in accordance with the principles of the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

In February 2014 John was engaged as an Associate by Steele Rose Law LLP to provide services to clients in relation to probate, trust administration and other legal documents such as loan agreements.

John feels that this additional work dovetails well with Steele Rose’s traditional role of providing an efficient and friendly home visit will writing service.

John Kennell has been a Steele Rose consultant for the past 15 years. He is married and lives in the North Cotswolds.

After a full career as an RAF officer, he chaired the executive of a local charity and worked as a travel consultant.

John’s extensive client base is in the South Midlands.

John Rawlins has been with Steele Rose since 1998, he is one of the longest serving members of our team.

He lives in North Dorset and primarily covers Sherborne, Yeovil, Wincanton, Taunton, Blandford Forum, Poole and Bournemouth.

John served a full Army career as an officer in a cavalry regiment seeing service in Libya, Germany, Hong Kong, Cyprus and Northern Ireland.

 
Julian Briscoe

Julian Briscoe trained with Steele Rose & Co in 2004 and has worked for the company since then , dealing with Wills and Powers of Attorney.

He lives in a village in West Devon and visits clients in their homes at a time convenient for them in Devon and Cornwall.

Previously he lived in London and West Sussex and worked for many years in property management.

 
Laura Croft

Laura is a qualified US attorney and retired from the US Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps after 23 years of active duty service.   Her last military posting was in the UK Ministry of Defence as a member of the strategy team for the British Army Chief of the General Staff.  Prior to this, she served in the British Army’s Operational Law Branch at the Land Warfare Centre in Wiltshire.

Prior to her secondment to the British Army, Laura was the Chief of Operational Law in the US Army’s International and Operational Law Department, US Army Pentagon.  Laura’s deployed operational assignments with the US Army include tours in the Republic of South Korea, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iraq where she served in various legal and leadership roles.  Laura was also legal assistance attorney with the US Army and provided legal services, including wills, powers of attorney and general legal matters, to clients of all ranks.

 
Nick Tobin

Nick Tobin trained with Steele Rose in 2004 and is now a senior legal consultant specialising in helping clients draw up Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. His client base is within a 50 mile radius of Bath, where he lives. He was formally an officer in the Royal Navy and subsequently a college bursar in Cambridge and a retailer of soft furnishing fabrics in Bath.

He is legally trained and works face to face with clients to make sure that they can correctly establish all the relevant facts and best reflect client wishes. He is well versed in the use of trusts to minimise inheritance tax and protect vulnerable clients from care fees.

 
Peter Storey

Peter joined Steele Rose in 1999 after 28 years in the Royal Air Force and a further 7 years as Bursar and Clerk to the Governors of Durham School. With two married children and five grandchildren, he now lives near Stockbridge with Wendy where he is also Clerk to King’s Somborne Parish Council. He is a director of a property management company and in his spare time enjoys renovating a derelict house and barn in France.

Philippa Herring has been a consultant with Steele Rose and Co. since 2010.

Living in Winford, her areas cover mainly North Somerset and what used to be Avon.

Previously, her career was as an area sales manager for the construction industry.

 
Robin Gainsford

Robin has been with the Company since 2000 and has completed over 1900 wills in his time here. He previously worked in the Royal Navy, Sultanate of Oman, Local Government and the Coastguard Agency.

Married to Kate living in Briantspuddle 8 mile East of Dorchester. Grandfather to 6 ankle biters.

His free time is spent being Divisional Secretary for SSAFA in Purbeck and Management Team Member for Bridport Sea Cadets. Robin enjoys Golf, Bowl, Swimming and Sailing.
